Stories
This Week's Program (March 12): Mike Farrell & Ethan Frese, Platte Basin Timelapse Project (PBT)

Mike Farrell and Ethan Freese will discuss the Platte Basin Timelapse project (PBT). PBT began in 2011 with an ambitious goal: to document an entire watershed and use that imagery to spark a deeper appreciation of the stunning places that surround us. PBT has more than 70 timelapse cameras throughout the Platte River Basin in Nebraska, Colorado, and Wyoming that take photos every hour. These cameras constantly monitor change over time on the landscape and have helped document severe drought and flooding in the Platte Basin. PBT has published more than 170 stories on their website including films, photo essays, and ESRI StoryMaps, to give people many ways to explore the natural world.

March 12th Lunch Menu ($20 per person):

  • Salisbury Steak
  • Mashed Potatoes
  • Asparagus
  • Garden Salad
LOCATION: We're back in our usual location, The Renaissance Room in the Cornhusker Hotel. Greeters will be present to help guide you to the meeting.
Welcome New Members!

On Tuesday, March 5th Rotary 14 welcomed two new members. We are delighted to have Carly Woythaler-Runestad, Executive Director of Mourning Hope, join our club. Leslie Levy provided her proposal for membership and Randy Hawthorn provided a reference.

We also have the pleasure of welcoming Molly Nance, CEO of Changemaker Coaching. Rotarian Marcia White provided her proposal for membership and Randy Hawthorn provided a reference. We extend a warm welcome to Carly and Molly. We are excited for your leadership, gifts, and your future in the club.
