Colby Coash is the Associate Executive Director for the Nebraska Association of School Boards, providing leadership and government relations work on behalf of elected leaders across Nebraska. This work gives him an opportunity to engage with policymakers and elected leaders using his experience as a former two-term State Senator. During his tenure in the Nebraska Unicameral Coash championed various causes, including child welfare, tourism, criminal justice reform, and support for people with disabilities.
Prior to his public service, Colby worked many years in the field of developmental disabilities while operating group homes and emergency shelters for kids with disabilities. It was here he learned the value of advocacy and inclusion in all settings while working with the most vulnerable citizens of his State. He has spoken regionally about his passion for advocacy and taking a simple approach to leadership.
His work has taken him from group homes to the Capitol. His training as an actor allows him to use storytelling as a medium for sharing his passion for advocacy and taking a simple approach to leadership. Colby speaks nationally in the areas of advocacy, employee engagement, performance coaching, communication, and leadership. Colby holds a Masters Degree in Leadership Education and is an adjunct faculty member at Doane University and the Bryan College of Health Sciences.
He is married with one son and enjoys movie making, having appeared in dozens of short and feature films.
His debut memoir, Running Naked, Surviving the Legacy of Family in Rural Nebraska was released in 2024.
The Lincoln Rotary Club 14 would like to invite you to participate in our annual Rise.Shine.Give. fundraising event on Saturday, February 7, 2026. Fifty percent of the event proceeds will go to The HUB Lincoln. If you were at President Randy Hawthorne's inaugural meeting, you heard that he's inviting each member of the club to the President's Table. These have been assigned randomly. Here are the upcoming dates:
ClubRunner released a major update. The update makes the system more user/member friendly. ClubRunner will be asking that every club switch to the new system in 2026. However, we are proud to say Rotary 14 is always on the move and busy, so while we're in a rare time of low activity for the Club (but not the Foundation - support Rise.Shine.Give 2026!), we are looking to expedite the update. At some point in the near future, Rotary 14 will make the switch. Please notify Club Administrator Lauren Peters (info@rotary14.org) if you have any trouble with the new system or have any questions or concerns as we make the switch. We're excited about the possibilities in store that make our club information more accessible to our members with this update.

Tiffani Childress, Foundation for Lincoln City Libraries
With over a decade of experience in technology, Tiffani now leads mission-driven initiatives in the nonprofit sector. She combines her background in Business and Psychology from the University of Nebraska- Lincoln with a passion for community engagement and strategic leadership. Tiffani filled leadership roles with Linked2Literacy, United Way, Global Ties Nebraska, WIN, TeamMates, and the Rousseau Elementary PTO.
Sheryl Homer, Copple Insurance
Sheryl started at Copple Insurance back in December, 1992, after graduating from University of Nebraska Lincoln in Finance. Sheryl has enjoyed working in the insurance industry as she finds it being like a puzzle, where you have to fit the insurance coverage together for your clients (Sheryl has always loved puzzles). Sheryl started out as a Customer Service Rep. Then became an account executive. And now, she am the owner. Sheryl has a husband, three sons, one daughter-in-law, and her beloved dog. She loves traveling, reading books, golfing, going on walks, and giving back to the community.
Andrew Norman, The Bay
Andrew Norman is co-founder and co-executive director of The Bay, a Nebraska nonprofit helping youth ages 4–24 achieve more through out-of-school programming and workforce education. A former journalist and co-founder of Hear Nebraska, he’s produced hundreds of inclusive concerts and events. Raised in rural Nebraska, Andrew is passionate about creating transformational experiences and investing in underdogs. He lives in Omaha’s Benson neighborhood with his wife Angie and son Townes.
