 Jean McGuire was born and raised in Wisner, Nebraska. She joined the League of Women Voters in 2012 after retiring and moving to Estes Park, Colorado. While with the League in Estes Park, she held several positions on the board including President. She also served on the state board of the LWV of Colorado including chairing the League’s 100 th Anniversary Committee at both the state and local level. She also served on the board of the LWV of Boulder County before moving back to Lincoln in 2022 where she joined the LWV of Lincoln-Lancaster County and currently serves as the President.
Professionally, she worked for McDonald’s Corporation for 29 years, starting as a manager trainee in a restaurant in Lincoln and worked her way up the corporate ladder to Senior Director of Training and Operations Deployment as part of the US Leadership team before retiring. In her spare time, she loves camping, traveling, hiking, biking, playing Pickleball, spending time with family and walking with her dog, Ciara.
