Elizabeth Everett is Deputy Director and Public Policy Manager for First Five Nebraska and leads the policy team and the organization’s efforts to promote early childhood as a key economic development principle for the state and communities. Prior to her position at First Five Nebraska, Elizabeth lived in Washington, D.C., and worked for Senator John McCain in both his personal office and on the Senate Armed Services Committee. In these roles, she worked on several pieces of legislation, including the annual National Defense Authorization Act, the Clay Hunt Suicide Prevention for American Veterans Act, and the Veterans Access, Choice, and Accountability Act.
Recently, Andrew Loudon introduced our newest member Chris Boik. Chris Boik is a corporate executive with over 20 years of professional work experience across manufacturing, healthcare and retail industries. He is currently a Vice President of Operations at UnitedHealth Group, a diversified health insurance and services provider, and the sixth-largest company in the United States. At UnitedHealth, he has led operations groups from 2-1200 people, and has specialized over the past five years in fixing broken processes, companies and teams. In this capacity he has served teams that perform veteran disability examinations, in-home infusion patients, and patients needing advanced specialty drugs.

Recently, Brad Bryan introduced our newest Rotarian, Kristy Goodwin. Kristy has worked in Higher Education for 20 years in enrollment management, developing students' success in post-secondary education. She also has expertise; in recruitment strategies where she co-published in the Honors in Practice Journal (2014), High Impact in Educational Recruiting; partnership development, outreach specialist; and helped create diversity and inclusion best practices within the higher education sector. Kristy also has dedicated her professional career to educating, motivating, and developing personal career mobility, career enhancement, and life-changing counsel to various corporate leaders within the medical, educational, judicial, and human resources industry. She is currently the Program Director for the College Pathways Program at Governors State University.

Recently, Rotarians celebrated PDG Art Knox's 90th birthday! Art served as our Club President and District Governor. Art maintains 31 years of Perfect Rotary Attendance. No one beats Art's years of service in Rotary of 60 years!
Recently, Greg Newport was recognized by TRF Co-chair Terry Wittler as Paul Harris Fellow +1. Greg Newport has been a member of Rotary Club #14 since August 2010 under the classification of Architecture and Engineering/Civic Architect. When he joined until the end of 2017, he was a Principal at The Clark Enersen Partners, Inc. (know Clark & Enersen) where he spent most of his 46 years in the profession. Since retiring from Clark & Enersen, Greg has been consulting with public and private clients as an Owner’s Representative.
Greg gives to the Rotary International Foundation because he believes that Rotary makes a strong difference in the world through its commitments such as the eradication of polio, clean available water, aid to countries like Ukraine and many other life changing projects that spread peace around the globe. May 14, 2022, was our spring roadside cleanup spearheaded by the Environment Committee led by Pat Birch. The Polio Ride this past weekend was a huge success! Riders had fun while raising funds to eradicate polio. The ride raised over $3,000 dollars. The ride was led by President Christina Usher with event organizer Mark Feit.

Recently, Former Secretary of State Allen Beermann presented the Rotary 14 Resolution honoring Lynn Johnson, for his service to the city as Director of the Parks and Recreation Department for 22 years. Part of the resolution reads: "That Lynn Johnson never did work seeking recognition, rather he always did work worthy of recognition, and that he had a powerful commitment to serving and a compassion that knew no boundaries."
