Recently, Brad Bryan introduced our newest Rotarian, Kristy Goodwin. Kristy has worked in Higher Education for 20 years in enrollment management, developing students' success in post-secondary education.  She also has expertise; in recruitment strategies where she co-published in the Honors in Practice Journal (2014), High Impact in Educational Recruiting; partnership development, outreach specialist; and helped create diversity and inclusion best practices within the higher education sector. Kristy also has dedicated her professional career to educating, motivating, and developing personal career mobility, career enhancement, and life-changing counsel to various corporate leaders within the medical, educational, judicial, and human resources industry. She is currently the Program Director for the College Pathways Program at Governors State University.

Kristy has worked at a major medical research institution in Chicago for ten years, where she served as an international coordinator and enrollment management leader. Her strengths are her ability to foster relatable connections; her healthy belief system which guides her values; her strong sense of finding simplicity in complexity; her love for learning, and her joy of life-giving moments.
Kristy is currently the Chair of the Access and Equity Committee for the American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (AACRAO) and the Chicago Cohort Mentor for the National RISE Together Mentorship Network.
Kristy holds a Bachelor's degree in Higher Education from DePaul University, a Master of Education in Instructional Leadership from the University of Illinois at Chicago, a Masters in Management from Robert Morris University Chicago, and a Masters in Theological Studies where Pastoral Care was her major. Kristy has received one of McCormick Theological Seminary's esteemed 2020 fellowships, the George Tressler Scott Fellowship in Applied Christianity Studies.
Kristy is a coach for GALLUPS Successful Strengths Program, where she works with various professionals and students focusing on their strengths for daily success. Through Trauma Healing Institute, she is a Trauma Healing Counselor and an Ordained Ministry through the Federation of Christian Ministries.
