You, Your Gift - LOCAL and INTERNATIONAL

LOCAL and INTERNATIONAL get a real workout when LOCAL Rotary Club 14 hosts students from around the world at the annual International Student Picnic. It’s all LOCAL, though, as Club 14 Rotarians plan an afternoon for students from colleges and universities in the area to meet each other, to meet club members and their families, share a meal, and enjoy the fellowship that rings with laughter. Contributions to the Rotary 14 Foundation provide total financial for the picnic.

However, it’s all INTERNATIONAL as the Rotary International Foundation commits to the challenge of peacebuilding and finding the greatest possible impact that will achieve lasting positive change
worldwide. Could that peacebuilding endeavor include a picnic?

Speaking of LOCAL gifts, take note of these Rotarians who made gifts of time and treasure to strengthen the success of RISE.SHINE.GIVE. Rotary members Jim Mastera, Tim Kinney, and Mark Stephens spent hours securing sponsorships. Sarah Lux, Karen Barrett, Erin Dobesh, Julie Robinson and Sandi Fabry gathered silent auction items, and Jon Gayer promoted Epic Experiences. Of course, there was a raffle, and where there is a Rotary raffle, there is Mike Wortman! The voices of Christine Weeks and Mark Feit kept things rolling smoothly while Katie King and Michelle Zlomke steered the project to a successful landing as Christina Usher was the supervisor for all things whiskey and wine!! Huge thanks to each and every one of them. Additional thanks to the R.S.G. trio; Kyle Cartwright, John Gessert, and Chris Sommerich. Their agent has been contacted regarding another musical performance in 2024. Kudos to Randy Bretz, Ryan Dobesh, Eric Drumheller, Jessica McMullen, Becki Roberts and Jennifer Williams.
