Recently, Past President Mike Wortman introduced Rotarian Mike Manga. Mike Manga is joining the Rotary Club of Lincoln #14 on transfer from Rotary Club of Harare Dawn, Zimbabwe. He has been a Rotarian for 17 years. He served as Projects Committee Chairperson and was Club President 2010 to 2011, during which period he championed projects at Banket High School in a rural farming community which included installation of solar lighting, provision of water tanks and plumbing for ablution facilities, equipment and reagents for Science Laboratories, computers and educational textbooks. Harare Dawn is still actively involved in projects at this same school. Mike has extensive experience in supply chain management and business leadership gained in mining and Packaged Goods (FMCG) industries. He has worked for Lonrho Zimbabwe Mining Division as Procurement Projects Coordinator; Buying Manager with Unilever South Africa and Group Logistics Manager for Unilever Zimbabwe; Group Procurement Executive at TA Holdings Limited Foods Division( Zimbabwe) and served for 16 years as Chief Executive Officer of foods and stock feed processing entity - Blue Ribbon Industries Limited Zimbabwe.

From February 2016, Mike embarked in self-employment as a Business Consultant specializing in supply chain optimization, risk management, organizational transformation and training. Having a passion for ethical leadership and a strong desire to serve as a resource for developing future talent, he served as Adjunct Professor at the Catholic University of Zimbabwe from 2017 to 2021 instructing students in Business Ethics, Corporate Governance and Marketing Research, as well as mentoring students in the MBA for Entrepreneurship program. He has presented at several conferences and seminars on varied topics in his areas of expertise and co-authored the Zimbabwe Code for Corporate Governance. Mike is committed to community service. He currently volunteers on several Boards of some not-for-profit organizations both here in Lincoln and in Zimbabwe. Rotary has provided him with some invaluable opportunities for service above self, in addition to building friendships in a professional and fun filled environment. He is enthusiastically looking forward to active service with Lincon#14. Married to Patricia (Trish), they are blessed with a son, Daniel, who is currently studying for a Masters in International Hospitality Management in the Netherlands and a daughter, Thandie, who is commencing a Masters in Educational Administration degree with University of Nebraska Lincoln this August.
