Last week, Former Nebraska Secretary of State Allen Beermann conferred honorary Rotary membership to Darrin Good. Dr. Darrin Good became the seventeenth president of Nebraska Wesleyan University on July 1, 2019. Prior to coming to Nebraska Wesleyan, he was Vice President of Academic Affairs and Dean of the Faculty at Whittier College near Los Angeles, California; and Associate Provost and Dean of Science and Education at Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, Minnesota. He holds a Ph.D. in biology from the University of Kansas. Darrin began his career in higher education teaching biology at his alma mater, Augustana College, in Rock Island, Illinois. His longstanding commitment to providing service opportunities for students locally and globally included creating a medical service learning program in Nicaragua. Darrin and his wife Diana have one daughter, Samantha. She and her wife Michelle live near Boston.Welcome to Rotary, Darrin!
