Kate Holman, Mourning Hope Grief Center

Kate Holman is the Advancement Director of the Mourning Hope Grief Center. Born and raised in Massachusetts, Kate graduated with a Bachelor of Science from the University of New Hampshire in Durham, NH. She relocated to Lincoln in 2009 with her husband, Mark, a purchasing agent at Kawasaki.

Kate is dedicated to the nonprofit sector, and passionate about giving back to the community. She began her nonprofit career in 2007 and has spent the last 12 years driven by mission. She brings a diverse set of skills to the Mourning Hope team including fundraising, marketing, event planning, and volunteer and donor management. Kate’s desire to support bereaved youth and their families comes from her past work with the state’s hospice agencies, time spent as a hospice volunteer, and her personal experiences with death and grief.

Kate is excited to be joining Lincoln Rotary Club 14, and to further serve the community she now considers to be home. Kate was proposed to Rotary by Sandi Fabry.

 

Ben Martens, US Bank

Ben Martens is the Commercial Banking Relationship Manager at US Bank. Before joining US Bank, Ben was Support Manager at Capital One where he led a combined team of 75 employees through acquisition os the Cabela's visa portfolio by Capital One during a challenging three-year process. Ben received one of the highest honors at Cabela's for exemplifying core values during a two-year project leadership role.
 
Ben is a volunteer at City Impact and currently serving as a Board Member and the non-profit The Hub in Lincoln. Ben was proposed to Rotary by Mike Renken.
