Scott is a lifelong Lincoln resident with a deep commitment to our community and decades of volunteer leadership. His service began in the 1990s as chair of the Haymarket Parking Committee, followed by roles as president of the Historic Haymarket and board member of the Downtown Lincoln Association. Scott has also served the YMCA, Lincoln Chamber of Commerce, and People’s City Mission. In 2001, Scott co-founded ABLE, serving as president for over a decade. As ABLE nears its 25th anniversary in 2026, its mission remains to develop informed business leaders who positively impact Lincoln.

Larkin Powell, School of Natural Resources at the University of Nebraska
Larkin Powell is Director for the School of Natural Resources at the University of Nebraska. He supports over 60 faculty with expertise in climate, water/soils, and biodiversity in working landscapes. The School partners with industry, agencies, and NGOs to assist with environmental decision-making in the state and around the world. Larkin is trained as a wildlife conservation biologist and is a Fellow of The Wildlife Society. He is the author of 8 books, including The Best of Intentions: A Story of Landscape Change in the Heart of the Great Plains, released in 2025.
