Recently, Yolanda Hoffman and Scott Larson introduced our newest Rotarian Allison Brown-Corson. Allison has a wealth of experience in the nonprofit sector including expertise in fundraising, community outreach, program development, grant writing and event planning. Allison has brought her experience, high expectations, and enthusiasm to several organizations including Youth Emergency Services, Boys Town, and Omaha Home for Boys. Allison is currently the Director of Development at the Foundation for Lincoln Public Schools She has also previously held leadership positions at United Cerebral Palsy of Nebraska and Mosaic and is the co-founder of Energize Nonprofit consulting.Allison is a Pastor's wife and feels that serving her community is part of her calling. Rotary is a service club. Its product is serving. Rotary will provide her with another way to do community service. Rotary will give her a chance to do something for somebody else and to sense the self-fulfillment that comes in the process and return that satisfaction to one's own life. It is richly rewarding.

Allison lives in Omaha. She is looking to learn about the City of Lincoln and new friends that also want to make a difference. Membership in Rotary will assist me in continued personal growth and education. One of the main reasons that really drew me to Rotary is the fact they are an open society of men and women who simply believe in helping others. And they are very nice people.
Outside of work, Allison enjoys sports, reading, gardening, spending time with friends and family, and cheering on her beloved Georgia Bulldogs, Atlanta Braves and Creighton Blue Jays. She and her husband Jim have three grown children but her true loves are her Jeep Wrangler and her three dogs Knox, Toby and Cash. But the light of her life is her two-year-old grandson, Myles.
