Presentation: General Evans will talk about leadership in the context of a 35-year military career that culminated at the rank of Major General in the United States Air Force and assignment at the United States Strategic Command.
Bio: Major General Richard J. Evans III is a member of the Nebraska Air National Guard (ANG) serving as the Mobilization Assistant to the Commander, U.S. Strategic Command, Offutt AFB, Neb. He is the principal advisor to the Commander on reserve component and operational matters related to the command’s diverse missions. General Evans also serves as the Director, Reserve Forces and as Program Manager for the command’s new $1.3B Command and Control Facility at Offutt AFB. General Evans is a native Nebraskan and a graduate from Omaha Northwest High School and the University of Nebraska at Omaha. He currently serves on the UNO Chancellor’s Military and Veterans Affairs Cabinet and as the USSTRATCOM Rep on the Nebraska Commission on Military and Veterans Affairs. Read more about Gen.
