Recently, our club sent a delegation to the annual Rotary Large Club Conference (LCC) in Cincinnati, Ohio, composed of President-Elect John Gessert, President Nominee Jess Rustad, and Club Administrator Yolanda Hoffman. LCC is hosted once a year by the Association of Rotary Club Executive Directors and presents the opportunity for Executive Directors to meet with peers for the purpose of development, motivation, exchange of ideas, and training of Presidents-Elect of their Clubs. The Presidents-Elect have an opportunity to exchange their ideas, plans and develop goals for their year as President. Throughout the conference, the Executive Directors, Presidents-Elect, and President Nominees team for each club have the chance to strengthen their partnership as they prepare for the Rotary year ahead. This year's LCC featured an Idea Fair. Our club submitted the Engagement Group Bingo Card. Special thanks to President Christina Usher for the Bingo idea.
Here is President-Elect John Gessert explaining how our bingo card brilliantly addresses the areas of membership recruitment, membership engagement, donations to Club Foundation and Rotary International Foundation, and opportunities for Rotarians to get to know fellow Rotarians in a small group setting. John inspired Rotary One President-Nominee Aleta Williams to do the same in Chicago, while Lori Walters of Ann Arbor and Jesse Bowdle of Oakland said they love to play Bingo!
