On Saturday, February 9, the Rotary 14 Rise.Shine.give event raised an estimated $60,000 for our Foundation. The event is the primary fund-raising effort for the Foundation, raising money for Everett Elementary School, the South of Downtown Art Hub, college scholarships and grants serving Lincoln and beyond. A crowd estimated at 400 enjoyed a brunch provided by Premier Catering, bid on dozens of auction items, purchased tickets for a variety of Epic Experiences and made donations to the Foundation. Our thanks to the committee which spent many months planning this event. The group included: Amy Dickerson, Jim Smith, Mark Stephens – Tri-Chairs, Christina Usher, Erin Dobesh, Gail Illich, Jennifer Brinkman, Jess Rustad, Jim Mastera, Lorie Cook-Benjamin, Mailani Veney, Mike Renken, Mike Wortman, Randal Hawthorne, and Randy Bretz.
