Last week at Rotary was a big Luau Party! President Mailani Veney was installed as the new President along with her leadership team. PDG Julie O'Hara came and handed plaques of appreciation to outgoing leadership led by immediate Past President Randy Bretz. President Mailani's ohana came to congratulate her and Rotarians came in Hawaiian attire to begin the Year of Aloha and to honor Mailani who grew up in Hawaii. We had good food provided by Nebraska club and we thank Mailani's mom for the Hawaiian desserts.
Congratulations to our Hawaiian Attire contest winners Gail Illich and Eric Drumheller. Everyone was mesmerized by their attire that no one was able to take photos when they were declared winners. Thanks to Morrie Enders for managing the contest and to Tony Messenio for the fabulous $100 Valentino's gift cards for the winners.
