Gary Harmon, Rotarian for 46 years

Last week, President Bretz announced the passing of fellow Rotarian Gary Harmon on January 12, 2019. Gary has been a Rotarian for 46 years, 16 years of which was at Rotary #14, where he served as Director in 2010-2012 and served on several committees over the years.  Gary was Paul Harris Fellow, and was a member of the Centennial Club of our Lincoln Rotary Club #14 Foundation. In December he retired from his role of general manager at Bishop Business Equipment where he spent the last 16 years running Bishop's Lincoln office.

Gary was a member of Lincoln Berean Church where he was very involved in the church's Men's Ministry. During the past 25 years of Gary's life, he found great purpose and passion in helping men become all that God intends them to be. Besides being active in his local church, Gary also served on the City Impact Board.

Gary just celebrated his 50th wedding anniversary in December. He was always an encourager, a lover of fun, a joy to be around, a loving husband, a fantastic father, and a consummate grandpa. Besides all this, he was also an avid golfer who was able to enjoy his one and only hole in one at the age of 70.

In lieu of flowers, please direct donations to City Impact or the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation. No visitation. Condolences online at Roperandsons.com
