It's happening - the Rotary 14 Club Foundation 25th Anniversary! If you missed buying your ticket and would like to attend, please contact Immediate Past President Eric Drumheller at ericd@educationquest.org.
Recently, Edison McDonald introduced our newest Rotarian, Chris Peters. Chris serves as Head of Staff / Senior Pastor at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Lincoln, a position he began in September 2020. With two decades of experience working in congregational settings, Chris has deep professional and personal values for outward-focused service and relationship-building. Chris has volunteered extensively and served on non-profit boards and leadership committees in South Carolina, Georgia, and Alabama. Locally, Chris currently serves as the Chair of the Homestead Presbytery Disaster Response Committee. He holds a B.A. in Religious Studies from the University of South Carolina – Columbia and an M.Div. from Columbia Theological Seminary in Decatur, GA.
Chris looks forward to making more connections and finding new avenues of service to our community through Rotary #14. Chris is married to Rev. Lauren Peters, and they have quickly come to enjoy our city’s parks and trails, arts scene, restaurants and people.
Welcome to Rotary, Chris!
Chris Peters received his Rotary membership certificate and red badge from President Christina Usher with his sponsor Edison McDonald and Secretary Ben Martens

We have not seen Colin McWilliams lately at Rotary. That's because he has been busy circumnavigating flying a Cirrus SR22T. Colin is a licensed private pilot. His most recent trip is the great circumnavigation of Colorado completed in 14 days with 26 hours flying & 8.9 hours AATD (Advanced Aviation Training Device) over a total of 3,696 miles. Congratulations, Colin!
District 5650 District Conference July 8 - 9, 2022, REGISTER NOW The Hoff Family Culture and Arts Center 1001 S 6th St Council Bluffs, IA 51501
We promise you that this event will be highly interactive, super interesting, and great fun. It is all about you so, of course, it will be those things! Besides, Dwayne Brown (Improv extraordinaire) is our emcee!
Some special notes:
Thursday, July 7, 1pm-4pm. This is a special pre-conference event for anyone who wants to grow and learn about cutting-edge leadership concepts and practices. Hear from thought leaders in the areas of inclusive leadership, leading in the Great Resignation, leading strategic initiatives, and using your influence to make global impact. This session is free and will be held at Full Fledged Brewery in Council Bluffs.
Thursday, July 7, 5-8pm. PARTY! Gather with fellow Rotarians (and potential Rotarians as it is open to the public) for some local pizza, salad, and of course awesome beer (it is also at Full Fledged Brewery). But best of all the Rotary Band (we need a funky name for these folks) will be playing a few songs we know by heart. Very special thank you to Mick McKinley and Mark Sanford for leading our band.
Kids are welcome and encouraged. We just need to know they are coming. Please register you and them early so we can have plans in place. Our Kids Activities Chair is an expert, Conor O'Hara! (he's an actual kid).
