District 5650 District Conference July 8 - 9, 2022, REGISTER NOW
The Hoff Family Culture and Arts Center
1001 S 6th St
Council Bluffs, IA 51501
We promise you that this event will be highly interactive, super interesting, and great fun. It is all about you so, of course, it will be those things! Besides, Dwayne Brown (Improv extraordinaire) is our emcee!

Some special notes:
  • Thursday, July 7, 1pm-4pm. This is a special pre-conference event for anyone who wants to grow and learn about cutting-edge leadership concepts and practices. Hear from thought leaders in the areas of inclusive leadership, leading in the Great Resignation, leading strategic initiatives, and using your influence to make global impact. This session is free and will be held at Full Fledged Brewery in Council Bluffs.

  • Thursday, July 7, 5-8pm. PARTY! Gather with fellow Rotarians (and potential Rotarians as it is open to the public) for some local pizza, salad, and of course awesome beer (it is also at Full Fledged Brewery). But best of all the Rotary Band (we need a funky name for these folks) will be playing a few songs we know by heart. Very special thank you to Mick McKinley and Mark Sanford for leading our band.

  • Kids are welcome and encouraged. We just need to know they are coming. Please register you and them early so we can have plans in place. Our Kids Activities Chair is an expert, Conor O'Hara! (he's an actual kid).
  • Friday evening begins with a happy hour in the Galery at the Hoff Family Arts and Culture Center (included in your registration), followed by what is coined as "Fourth Friday" that involves live music, artists, great beverages, and food from the Kitchen Council Chefs (this is on your dime). This is open to the public so it is another chance for us to show how much fun Rotarians are. You are welcome to gather and eat at one of our awesome locally-owned restaurants or head over to the Old Market in Omaha.

  • Saturday early morning we are doing a service project to feed people who are experiencing homelessness. There is a special place on the registration site to volunteer to help. We are partnering with Hot Meals USA from D5630 to our west.

  • Saturday night Recognition Gala. FANCY PARTY! A beautiful sit-down dinner followed by the most spectacular awards night ever! We are in a theater and we are going to take advantage of all the lights and sound. This is the celebration of your awesome Rotary work. We will follow that with a "changing of the guard" for Club Presidents and the District Governors.

  • Each registrant will receive a special wine tumbler with the conference logo etched on it. This will come in handy on Saturday night when we go into the theater because they require lids. Don't worry, all the tumblers will be sanitized before we give them to you. Oh, and you can put whatever in it, not just wine!
Okay, I can go on and on but you get the picture. You do not want to miss this! Click here to register.
