Donation to the Rotary International Foundation - WE NEED YOUR HELP TO MEET OUR GOAL
A quick reminder to please donate to the Rotary International Foundation if you have not done so already this Rotary year (our Rotary year ends at the end of this month).

As of June 26, we are:
  • $4,976 short on our Annual Fund goal of $23,000
  • $1,035 short on our PolioPlus goal of $9,000
Donations can be made online at: https://www.rotary.org/en/donate

You can also give Yolanda, Terry, or Eric a check, and we will get it postmarked by June 30 to count toward our goal this year for Rotary International Foundation.

Let's Come Together and meet our goal. We can do this!
Welcome New Rotarian Jan Coy
Recently, Angie Muhleisen introduced newest member Jan Coy of Duncan Aviation. Jan, originally from Omaha, Nebraska, attended Marian High School before making her way to Lincoln, where she enrolled at the University of Nebraska. During her time at UNL, Jan embraced an active role in various campus and civic activities, forging connections with numerous Lincolnites and developing a profound affection for the city.

After completing her degree, Jan embarked on a professional path encompassing diverse industries. She initially joined Citizens State Bank, working alongside Eames Irvin, and later transitioned to LinTel Systems, collaborating with Chip Woods III. Following these experiences, Jan found herself at Forke Brothers-THE Auctioneers, with Ted Forke & Family, ultimately meeting her husband, Jim Coy. Their marriage has spanned nearly three decades. Together, they have a wonderful son named Sam, who resides in Omaha and is scheduled to commence his Doctorate in Occupational Therapy Program at Creighton University in August.

2023 Nebraskan of the Year Celebration a Huge Success
Lincoln Rotary Club 14 recognized Rhonda Seacrest as the 2023 Nebraskan of the Year in April. Rhonda Seacrest grew up in North Platte, NE. The work ethic and culture of a rural, pioneer town helped set her character and focus. Hard work is part of being in Nebraska. There were pioneers that traveled on and there were those who stayed. You do a thing because it needs doing. You see a problem and you solve it. These are among Rhonda’s guiding tenets. Many years ago, Rhonda found a passion for supporting children and youth in our communities, investing in backpack and shelter programs, acknowledging that hungry children find it difficult to grow and learn. In that same vein, she is committed to the arts, “because they build ideas and vision for the future, “while inspiring children and helping them fuel their minds.
