Recently, Bev Austin introduced, Dr. Natalie Hahn. A woman of adventure and always serving with purpose, she worked with United Nations programs for 38 years, primarily in Africa, as well as assignments in Rome and New York City. She cites Rotary as the most trusted partner of the United Nations and was a Rotary member in Nigeria, Malawi, and New York.To “give back” to her native Nebraska, she founded the Malaika Foundation to enhance global education in Nebraska schools and universities. She collaborates with the Pawnee Indian Tribe for research and an expansion of their historical and native crops. She has cared for six African children, (all siblings and now grown) and 11 grandchildren. Their parents were dear colleagues who died of AIDs. Natalie is the Godmother of two great-granddaughters of President Franklin and Eleanor Roosevelt- Isabel and Grace Roosevelt.
