Recently, Pat Leach introduced new Rotarian Jan Bretz. Jan Bretz is a retired English, communications, and theatre teacher who continues to provide presentation coaching. She has coached TEDxLincoln speakers and is currently working with speakers for TEDxOmaha. She has also taught creative writing and communications at Nebraska Correctional Center for Woman and is on the board of the Q.U.E.E.N.S Butterfly House in Omaha, a safe house for formerly incarcerated women. She and her husband, Randy are parents of three sons, 15 grandchildren, and 7 great-grandchildren. She’s an avid reader and yogi. When she moved from Indiana to Lincoln in 1979, her first thought was, “Willa Cather land!” Jan shared with us that she was inspired to join Rotary after attending the recent District Conference led by District Governor Barb Bartle, which launched its inaugural class of Golden Wheel Awards.
