Abbie Heusinger, Apex Projects
Abbie Heusinger is the owner and founder of Apex Projects, a Lincoln-based construction company known for its modern design and quality craftsmanship. She leads a talented six-person team that brings creativity, experience, and attention to detail to every project. With over a decade of industry experience, Abbie is passionate about building spaces that bring people together and strengthening the Lincoln community through service, collaboration, and leadership.
 
Dillon Miller, Cornhusker Bank (Corporate Partner)
Dillon was born in the heart of Nebraska, raised in the panhandle and made the Southeast his home. Dillon left his small hometown for Lincoln in 2011 with a high school diploma & 900 US dollars and joined the workforce. He worked odd job after odd job for 2 years before landing a "floating teller" gig at his bank in 2013. He worked his way up through the retail ranks, first at Great Western Bank, then at Cornhusker, to Portfolio Mortgage in 2020. He met his wife, Paula, in 2015. They got married in 2018 and started their family in 2021. They have two boys, ages 4 and 9 months.
 
Brock Shelton, Westgate Bank
Brock has been married to his wife, Emily, for 11 years. She owns Legacy Curbing LLC in Lincoln, Nebraska. They have built a life centered on family and community. Brock grew up on a small farm in northeast Nebraska, raised by a pastor father and teacher mother, alongside two older brothers. Emily and Brock are raising two boys, Reid (10) and Roman (8). Brock has 27 years in banking, including 23 at West Gate Bank, where he focuses on building trusted relationships with business owners. He is customer-service driven, values clear communication, and enjoys real estate projects.
 
Laurie Sukup, AKRS Equipment Solutions, Inc.
Laurie was born and raised in Ogallala, Nebraska, in a family of nine children. As the daughter of an immigrant raised in poverty and war-torn conditions, she learned early the importance of giving back. Laurie is a UNL alum and works as a Senior Financial Accountant at AKRS Equipment Solutions, with prior roles at Mattson Ricketts Law Firm, Smart Chicken, Kawasaki, and Consolidated Container Company. She and her husband Randy have lived in Lincoln 20+ years and have three children. She enjoys home projects, her kids’ sports, reading, movies, crafting, baking, and visiting Lake McConaughey.
