Kelita Svoboda Bak is honored to serve as the Vice President for Development for CEDARS, whose mission is to help our community’s most vulnerable children and youth achieve safety, stability, and enduring family relationships. She began the position in November 2022 after moving back to Nebraska. Kelita proudly hails from Lincoln and is an alumna of Randolph, Lefler, and Lincoln High.A strong advocate for youth, Kelita has spent most of her career in Washington, DC with one of her first roles as an intern for U.S. Senator Bob Kerrey. She also served as Director of Government Relations for Youth Service America, National Vice President for Camp Fire USA, and five years as Chief Executive Officer of the National Youth Leadership Council, based in Saint Paul, MN. She earned a BA in Political Science from American University and an MBA from The George Washington University.
