Recently, President Christina Usher on behalf of Christie Weston introduced our newest member Landon Bartel. Landon is the Development Coordinator at The Hope Venture, a non-profit working to bring hope and dignity to some of the most disadvantaged people in the world. Landon is passionate about people and has a heart to build community and connection with anyone from business owners to impoverished students overseas.

Landon Bartel receiving his Rotary Membership Certificate from President Christina Usher
Landon first made his way out of Columbia, Missouri to Lincoln as a high jumper at the University of Nebraska where he accumulated two Big Ten Championships and five All-America titles. He represented the Junior USA Track and Field Team in 2014 and 2015 and competed at the USA National Meet in 2018. After graduating from UNL with a degree in Classics and Religious Studies Landon spent three years as the Men's Director for Lincoln Berean Church's College Ministry. In the summer of 2021 he opened a shaved ice food truck, SnowDaze Lincoln, and transitioned into his position with The Hope Venture. He enjoys snowboarding, rock climbing, biking, going to the dog park, and playing board games. Landon is excited for the connections that will be made in Rotary and look forward to helping serve the people of his community in a new way.
