Dr. Kelsi Anderson received her BS in Biology from North Park University (Chicago, IL) in 2002. After working for 2 years at Northwestern University studying Alzheimer's Disease, she entered graduate school at the University of Nebraska Medical Center (Omaha, NE) and graduated with a PhD in Microbiology in 2008. Kelsi completed a postdoctoral fellowship in Microbiology at the University of Michigan (Ann Arbor, MI).  After a year and a half at U of M, she realized that teaching and working with students were her passion and began teaching at Concordia University Ann Arbor in the fall of 2010. In July 2016, Kelsi and her family moved back to Lincoln and started working at Bryan College of Health Sciences as the Biomedical Sciences Program Director then transitioned to Provost in January 2018 and was appointed president on July 1, 2024.

Kelsi and her husband Dirk have 2 children: Sydney and Jafar. We love to travel, spend time outdoors, all things Disney, and simply being together as a family.  Kelsi is a Lincoln TeamMate, a kids ministry volunteer at Lincoln Berean Church, and serves on the board of Camp Sonshine.
