Tammy was elected to the Lincoln City Council in 2019 and is currently Vice Chair. Her career has been one of public service and non-profit service spanning almost three decades. She has worked as District Manager to former U.S. Senator and Governor Ben Nelson, also as an aide for two State Senators and served as an aide in the Mayor’s office. She also was the former Executive Director of the Seniors Foundation and Development Director for Tabitha.
Her City Council committee responsibilities include serving as Chair of the Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) Committee, Vice Chair of the District Energy Corporation (DEC) and a member of the Lincoln Partnership for Economic Development (LPED), Lincoln Chamber Visitors Promotion Committee (VPC) and the West Haymarket Joint Public Agency (WHJPA).
Tammy is a past Vice Chair of the Lincoln Electric System (LES). In her spare time, Tammy likes to spend time on the family farm and with her family and enjoys reading, exercising and giving back to her community. Tammy gives to the Rotary International Foundation because she believes in the work which is done globally and is glad to contribute toward these many important causes.
