Impressive and overwhelming support to the Whitney family during the most challenging time of their lives as Rotarians came together and showered the Whitney family with Rotary fellowship and Christmas gifts. The gift-giving was done on December 20, 2019, in Seward, Nebraska. President Mailani Veney is the main proponent of Christmas gift-giving to families impacted by cancer in partnership with Lynette's Angels. The Board approved the project in its November 14, 2019 Board meeting. The full story of the project can be found by clicking here. Director John Gessert and Secretary Randy Hawthorne facilitated the fundraising drive for the Whitney family. We raised a total of $3,234.85 for the Whitney family. What an impressive show of sharing our Christmas blessings! Rotary 14 was represented by President Mailani Veney, Ryan Foor, and Lisa Lee at the gift-giving in Seward last Friday.
