May 23 is our Memorial Day Program, one of our important meetings of the Year, organized by the In-Club Celebrations Committee chaired by Michael Eckelkamp. In 2008, Lincoln’s Rotary Club 14 began the Memorial Day tradition of honoring the life and service of military men and women who served our country. During our Memorial Day meeting, a Rotary Paul Harris Fellowship will be presented to the families of Nebraska Korean War Veterans.

Our Memorial Day speakers help us tie together the military and civilian expressions of “service above self.” Speakers with a military background provide examples, derived or influenced by their military experience, of their work in museums, hospitals, business,es and public service, which improve the lives of the oppressed, advance the interests of our society or preserve the health and safety of our community. It's going to be a great meeting.
