Each week, this amazing Rotarian asks the Club President, "How can I be of service to you today?" His willingness to pitch in at a moment's notice and help get things done does not go unnoticed. Dr. Michael Eckelkamp joined Rotary 14 in March 2022 and has been deeply ingrained in helping better the Club through volunteerism, financial gifts, and a heart for service that eloquently shows through all of the committees he’s involved in. Michael’s remarkable contributions to the Club include chairing the In-Club Celebrations Committee since 2022, serving in a weekly check-in capacity consistently, helping our tech team, pitching in with Sergeant-at-Arms duties, actively contributing on our Rise.Shine.Give. Committee, reading to youth at Elliott Elementary School and as a City Impact Tutor, delivering dictionaries to fourth graders, welcoming our international students at the International Student Picnic, and showing up to beautify Lincoln roads during Rotary’s Roadside Cleanup. Moreover, Michael has successfully started his Rotary Leadership Institute journey—making Rotary 14 evermore proud. His commitment to service and unwavering dedication to Rotary's values make Dr. Michael Eckelkamp a true exemplar of "Service Above Self," and deserving of this esteemed recognition. Congratulations, Michael!
