World Fellowship and Community Service

Sharon Wherry joined Club 14 in 1995. She served as Club President in 04-05 and organized the first luncheon ever between all the 65 clubs in Nebraska to celebrate Rotary’s Centennial Anniversary. She started The Dictionary Project for all four Lincoln Rotary Clubs in 2006 delivering free dictionaries to all 4th graders in our community. In 2007 she and her husband Dan immunized children against polio in Bangladesh. In 2008 they worked at our District water project in Zambia prior to her becoming District Governor in 08-09. They’ve hosted six Rotary Youth Exchange students. They are multiple Paul Harris Fellows and Sharon is a major donor. She is a graduate of Vassar College and currently serves as the Chair of the Advisory Board for the Pinnacle Bank Arena.
