Dave Mlnarik hails from Clearwater and after graduating from UNL in 1991 joined the Nebraska Sports Council (NSC).  After working in several positions he became the executive director in 2004.  Under his leadership, the NSC has greatly expanded competitive recreation and sport opportunities for Nebraskans.  The NCS hosted the 2015 State Games of America that drew 15,244 participants from 47 states to Nebraska with an overall economic impact of $25 million.  Currently, the NSC organized and promoted the WellPower Movement that has motivated over 100,000 Nebraskans to adopt healthier lifestyle habits.
