Welcome New Rotarian Karen Barrett
Karen has lived in Lincoln all her life and has spent her career working at the Nebraska Department of Revenue. She recently celebrated 47 years with the Department. She is married to Tom Barrett, has one son, Nate Michel, and two grandsons, Owen and Noah. She enjoys watching her grandson’s sporting activities, gardening, swimming, helping care for her 90-year 'young' mother, who still lives in her own home, and being involved in activities at her church and around Lincoln. Thank you, Christie Weston, for sponsoring Karen to Rotary! Welcome, Karen!

June 15 Blood Drive
Last Week at Rotary
Last week at Rotary Raffy Garcia, a former Rotary International Board of Director member, joined our meeting to share Rotary's global impact. We also had the honor to have John Germ, former Rotary International President, join our meeting. We welcomed new Rotarian, Karen Barrett, Tax Specialist, Nebraska Department of Revenue (Sponsor: Christie Weston). Reminder to complete your Committee Interest Indicator by June 7. This will help make sure you are on committees that interest you. Register for Rotary's blood drive on June 15. We are still short on our Rotary International Goal ($1,390), however, our average gift to RI is $104 per member, which exceeds our goal of $85 per member!  Thank you to everyone who contributed to the Annual Fund or PolioPlus! Thank you to everyone who donated the $110 in honor of our $110th anniversary. We raised $8,502. This, in combination with fines, members who donated their lunch money and attended Business Networking Day – $12,880 was raised for the Annual Club Projects Fund.

Birthday celebrant Leslie Huerta, representing 21 June birthday celebrants, was accompanied by Art Knox, Jim Mastera, and Allen Beermann at the birthday table
