Glenn Mon on Super Bowl
Glen Mon is Managing Partner at Global Interface Consulting Group and the owner/operator with wife Ashley of Hamanassett Bed & Breakfast and Carriage House in Chester Heights, PA. From 1995-2007 he was General Manager, Louisiana Super dome, hosted Super Bowl XXXl, and was responsible for the management of over 90 stadium and arena properties. From 1988-1995, Glenn was Stadium Manager, hosted Super Bowl XXIII and XXIX, hosted AFC Championship Game, and assisted in the creation of the Florida Marlins of Major League Baseball. Glenn was part of the delegation that secured the 1984 Olympic Games, hosted the 1984 Olympic Games, hosted Papal Mass by Pope John Paul II, relocated the NFL Raiders franchise to Los Angeles, relocated the NBA Clippers franchise to Los Angeles.

Glenn is currently involved with Chester Heights Historical Society; organized reestablishment of this Historical Society and past member of Board of Directors, President. Rachael Kohl Community Library; Past Board Member from Chester Heights. Community Performing Arts Center; Steering Committee Member.

Ken Koop is Paul Harris Fellow +2
On January 26, The Rotary Foundation (TRF) Chair Scott Larson recognized Rotary Board Member, Ken Koop as Paul Harris Fellow +2. Ken is First Vice President at Morgan Stanley LLC. His contribution of $3,000 to TRF will help in eradicating polio and support TRF's priorities in protecting the environment, fighting disease, providing clean water, supporting education, and saving mothers and children through maternal health.

WFCS March 1 Grant Deadline
Who puts the International in Rotary International?  
Your World Fellowship and Community Service Committee!
March 1 is the deadline to submit a grant to your WFCS Committee.
Grants can be small ($1-5k) or large Global Grants ($30k+) but must address at least one of the six areas of RI focus - 
  • Peace and conflict prevention/resolution
  • Disease prevention and treatment
  • Water and sanitation
  • Maternal and child health
  • Basic education and literacy
  • Economic and community development
  • Protecting the Environment

The Rotary Foundation, Doing Good in the World

Last Week at Rotary
Last week at Rotary Presiding Officer was Eric Drumheller with Secretary Morrie Enders. The virtual Meeting Host was Art Zygielbaum. Program Host Jennifer Brinkman introduced speaker, Miki Esposito. Miki Esposito is the Sr. Policy Advisor, City of Lincoln. Reminder to register for Rise Shine Give's virtual brunch event on Saturday, February 6, 2021. Funds raised will help support The Gathering Place’s HVAC replacement and our club foundation. Other ways to help the community: Sign up to fill a Little Free Pantry in Lincoln the week of February 14 (help share some love). Please keep former Rotarian Mark Koller's family in your thoughts as he passed away on January 21. Congratulation to Ken Koop on his Paul Harris Fellow +2.  Special thank you to Jess Rustad who took lead on the project to bring Rotary 14 back to one website as well as Yolanda Hoffman and Dalton Brannen for their support! As well as Mary Buckley and Susan Stibal for their work on developing the Rotary 14 Foundation’s website: https://rotary14foundation.org/ and Colin McWilliams for helping with the transition of domain names, email addresses, redirects, and troubleshooting with ClubRunner!
