Bryan Tuma, NEMA - Revisiting Lessons Learned from 9/11
The Nebraska Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) is part of the Military Department. In 2012, the agency headquarters was relocated to the Joint Force Headquarters, on the Nebraska National Guard base in Lincoln. NEMA is a small agency with less than 50 full-time and part-time employees. Day-to-day operations are managed by Bryan Tuma, assistant director.

Sheila Odom is a Development Officer for the Tabitha Foundation. She has been active in the community holding various committee and Board positions for the United Way/Combined Health Agencies Drive, among several other non-profit organizations. She is also no stranger to Rotary as a previous member of Club 14 and served as Club Secretary in 2014-15. Sheila and her husband Lance recently celebrated their 30 year wedding anniversary and are proud parents of their son Harper, a sophomore at UNL. Since 2019 Fred Ohles is President Emeritus of Nebraska Wesleyan University. He served there as 16th President for 12 years, 2007-19. During his tenure, NWU introduced the nationally heralded Archway Curriculum for undergraduates, added master’s degrees in education and business, built Duane W. Acklie Hall of Science, began three new varsity sports, changed athletic conferences, and completed a $67.5 million comprehensive campaign, largest in school history.
