Speaker Bio: Russ Gronewold started his career as a CPA in the health care division, and has over 30 years in the health care industry, including senior management positions with 4 different health systems working in the areas of finance, business development, operations, innovation, physician practice management, and managed care. 

On February 25, 2020, TRF Chair Scott Larson recognized Donna Wyatt as a Paul Harris Fellow +1. Donna works at Lincoln Federal Savings Bank. Donna has been a Rotarian since 2002 with a perfect attendance of 7 years. Donna Wyatt's total TRF contribution is $2,000. Congratulations, Donna and thank you for your generosity.

Last week, Taylor Washburn of Lincoln Southeast received the Rotary Student Leadership Award presented by Incoming Director Jess Rustad and PDG Sharon Wherry.

Last week at Rotary, PDG Sharon Wherry presided the meeting in her full Hawaiian attire. Randy Hawthorne conducted club business. Maury Halstead was Sgt. at Arms. Scott Moore, former Nebraska Secretary of State and now Senior V.P. of Corporate Relations and Chief Administrative Officer of Union Pacific was our speaker. He discussed "Building America for more than 150 Years" through Union Pacific as well as inside information about the Bush Presidential Funeral Train. Randy Hawthorne introduced new member Tobin Spangler. As a Rotarian highlight, MK and Prem Basal were recognized for being featured by LCF. Announcements were made about the Game Changer Contest, 226/240 goal and Cadwallader award nominations are due April 17th. Donna Wyatt was recognized as Paul Harris Fellow +1. Taylor Washburn was presented with the Rotary Leadership Award. Cashiers and check-in were Nancy Finken, Anna Hernoud and Robert Mastera. Josh Overocker and Jim Bennett were greeters. FundRaiser to Buy Wheelchairs for Polio Survivors in the Ivory Coast - March 18 from 4:30 pm until 8 pm at the Pizza Ranch, 8420 Lexington (near HyVee on 84^th street.) Thanks to Pizza Ranch and diners, the UNL Rotaract Wheelchair Project will receive 10% from every meal purchased and every dollar from tips. The club will order 120 wheelchairs this year and help deliver them. The total goal of the project is $18,000.  Please join us and meet our members as they bus the tables. Former Nebraska Secretary of State Allen Beermann recently retired as Executive Director of the Nebraska Press Association. Allen is inviting fellow Rotarians to his retirement party, the party of the century, on March 26, 4:00 - 7:00 PM, with a special program from 5:30 PM - 6:00 PM, at Kuck Motorsports Museum, 2251 Humphrey Ave. Allen has generously paid for Rotarians tickets but you must secure an invite which will serve as your ticket to the event. Get your invite from Rod Bates or from Allen. 
 

With President Mailani's approval, this event is an official engagement committee activity. The President issued a memo that each Rotarian who attends will get two attendance credits. Any questions, contact Rod Bates.
