We will celebrate Rotarians at the Year-End Awards. Two major awards will be presented on June 22, 2021. First is the Rookie of the Year, the highest honor bestowed to a new member of Rotary. Second is the Rotarian of the Year Award, the most coveted award during the Year. We will also present the Miller Math Award and Scholarship Award.
President Eric Drumheller will deliver his President's Report to the club after a highly successful Rotary year under his leadership, despite the pandemic.
President Eric Drumheller led the celebration of our new members this year. Several new members came for their first in-person meeting at Rotary. It was great to hear about what inspired them to join Rotary. Below are a few photos. For more photos, click here.
Shari Veil, new to Lincoln and assuming her role as Dean at UNL, wanted to meet the finest men and women in Lincoln, so Rotary 14 is The Place To Be. Also because she got an order from PP Randy Bretz to join Rotary.
Dave Hansen said he always wanted to give back to the community but his business, Swanson Russell, brought him mostly conducting business outside of Lincoln. After retiring as CEO and assuming the role of Chairman of the Board, a job that doesn't have a clear description for him, he thought Rotary is the best organization for him. Committee Chairs - are you reading this?
Marcia White, a returning Rotarian, said that after a long absence from Rotary, she decided to come back when her best hire from 25 years ago, President Eric Drumheller, became President of Rotary 14. Marcia worked hard for our blood donation drive.
Thank you to the Blood Drive Committee led by Carey Collingham and Marcia White for organizing the blood drive this year. Big thank you to all Rotarian blood donors. Pictured here are Marcia White and Bruce Rippeteau.
Lincoln Rotary Club #14 would like to congratulate Club members Barb Bartle and Randy Bretz on their recent District 5650 appointments. Both former Club presidents, Barb and Randy will bring a plethora of Rotary knowledge along with a heart for service into their new roles. Barb has been elected to serve as District Governor for the 2022-2023 Rotary year, and Randy Bretz has been elected to serve as an At-Large Director on the Board for the 2021-2022 Rotary year. Congratulations and THANK YOU for your service!
