Welcome New Rotarian Amanda Blue
Amanda Blue leads a team of Salesforce Administrators on behalf of Nelnet Business Solutions. She is passionate about: leveraging Salesforce capabilities to improve the business process; applying and sharing the Getting Things Done (“GTD”) productivity methodology, and her family. Amanda also owns and operates a business importing lavender from southern France. Barring a pandemic, you’ll find her and her handmade lavender products at the Haymarket Farmer’s Market on Saturday mornings.

Amanda comes to Rotary through our Corporate Partner for Good with Nelnet. Thank you Angie Muhlheisen, Randy Bretz, and Mailani Veney for paving the way to bring Amanda to Rotary. Welcome, Amanda!
Welcome New Rotarian Brett Neely
Brett moved to Lincoln this summer to join the UNL College of Business as an assistant professor in the management department.  He teaches organizational behavior and researches leadership and diversity in organizations, with a particular focus on understanding how leaders can promote positive outcomes of diversity and inclusion efforts in their organizations. He has been involved with Camp Kesem, a student-led organization serving families impacted by cancer, for several years and now serves as faculty advisor for the UNL chapter. Brett’s fiancé, Giorgia, also works in academia and they have three pets: a golden doodle named Marko and two cats named Soleil and Bijou.

Thank you, Yolanda Hoffman, for sponsoring Brett to Rotary. Welcome, Brett!

Senator Patty Pansing Brooks is co-founder and Vice President of Brooks Pansing Brooks Law Firm and serves as a Senator in the Nebraska State Legislature.

Patty is active in her professional legal associations, served on many nonprofit boards, provided leadership for school bond and fundraising campaigns. It is not surprising that she has received numerous awards, one which is very meaningful for Rotarians; 2017 Peacemaker of the Year.

She lives her life by Rotary’s Four-Way Test. Looking at her honors and awards, this becomes very clear: Health Advocate, Excellence in Leadership, Legislator of the Year, Being the Change, Advocate of Innocence, Defender of the Bill of Rights.

Recipient of the prestigious Fulfilling the Legacy of Gault Award from Nebraska State Bar Association & Creighton University School of Law, Patty is respected in the legal community. She was named 2018 Nebraska Legislator of the Year for her work in the legislature. When there is a job to get done, who are you going to call? Our newest Rotarian, Patty Pansing Brooks.

Welcome to Rotary, Patty! Thank you, Barbara Bartle, for sponsoring Patty to Rotary. Read more.
