Topher started his career in the behavioral health field as a volunteer for the Drug Crisis Center in 1975. After a brief time as a counselor with CenterPointe, Topher attended law school and practiced law from 1985-1993. During his time in private practice, he also served as a CenterPointe Board member and as legal counsel for the organization. In 1993, he returned to the CenterPointe staff as Director of Development/Legal Counsel. He became Chief Executive Officer in 2000.

Welcome New Rotarian Khristine Gilroy-Johnson
Khristine Gilroy-Johnson recently joined the Lincoln Journal Star as a regional sales manager having previously served as the membership and marketing director for the Nebraska Health Care Association. A graduate of Creighton University, she spent several years in radio sales and management in Norfolk, Neb. before moving to Lincoln.
 
Khristine has an extensive background of volunteerism through service organizations and boards and is active with the Team Jack Foundation as a member of the gala committee. She and her husband, Chris, have three children and five grandchildren.

John Gessert is Paul Harris Fellow
The Rotary Foundation (TRF) has recognized John Gessert as  Paul Harris Fellow. John Gessert currently serves as a Vice President and Senior Trust Officer for Union Bank and Trust and Concerto Family Office by UBT. John has 29 years of experience in working with high-net-worth individuals and their families. His professional responsibilities include trust administration and estate settlement with a focus on the successful transition of intergenerational wealth. John is an active community volunteer and musician. John is a dedicated Rotarian for 13 years as shown in his service to Rotary as Chair of the PGE and Finance committees, along with his service as a club Treasurer for four years and two years on the Board. John maintained 7 years of perfect Rotary attendance. John is currently serving as President-Elect.
 
John's contribution of $1,000.00 to The Rotary Foundation (TRF) supports Rotary's areas of focus: Peace and conflict prevention/resolution, Disease prevention and treatment, Water and sanitation, Maternal and child health, Basic education and literacy, Economic and community development, and Protecting the Environment.
