Kroese brings 20 years of experience in transportation and logistics, including executive-level experience at Union Pacific Railroad in Omaha, Nebraska. As a past Fortune 150 company executive, her supply chain management experience also includes marketing and sales components combined with valuable experience at Nebraska Business.
Kroese majored in management at Nebraska, graduated in 1996, and received her MBA from Creighton University. She stayed involved at the College of Business and when she was the lead recruiter for Union Pacific for more than 15 years, she hired many university students for marketing and sales jobs. In 2010, she helped Rob Simon, associate professor of practice in marketing, develop a course for better preparing students for their careers, which still continues to be offered.

Sarah Lux is a small business owner for the past 11 years. She founded and grew her fitness business, uforia studios, based in San Francisco to 3 locations. Previous to entrepreneurship Sarah had a career in biotech and pharmaceuticals where she loved working on complicated life-saving projects. Sarah and her family recently moved to Lincoln and enjoy their new city. Sarah is excited to bring her business experience and passion for service to her community.

Last week, Lorie Cook-Benjamin introduced our newest Rotarian, Luis Sotelo. Luis is a teacher at heart and a champion of human potential. He is the Vice President for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion at Doane University, where he leads a university division to advance educational access, equity, and inclusion. As an advocate for educational opportunities for all, at the age of 16, he co-founded a youth development nonprofit that trained youth leaders to launch community initiatives across Nebraska. Luis has served as a high school teacher, speech director, university admission counselor, college advisor, consultant to state departments of education, and guest speaker on educational issues at state and national forums, including those hosted by the U.S. Department of Education. Any member of Lincoln Rotary Club #14 in good standing will be eligible for consideration for Board membership but preference will be given to those who have served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Club and who have made contributions to the Foundation. Extra consideration will also be given to those with an extensive background in Rotary 14 leadership activities such as being a past Club president or district governor.
