The National Science Foundation (NSF), manages all U.S. scientific research and related logistics in Antarctica through the United States Antarctic Program. On an average year, the Antarctic program supports over 100 science projects. It takes more than 3,000 people to support the scientific missions being executed at 3 stations and aboard 2 ships on and around Antarctica.
